PRIVACY POLICY

Occuthera Publishing ("Occuthera," "we," "us") operates TheraTrace and SenseWise (the "Services"), digital tools designed to support occupational therapy practice for students.
We are committed to protecting the privacy of children who use our Services, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
- Information We Collect
Depending on which Service is used, we may collect:
From the Therapist/Educator (account holder): Name, email address, and professional credentials.
From the Student, entered by the Therapist: First name or initials, age or grade level, and therapy-relevant data such as:
TheraTrace: Handwriting exercise attempts, progress scores, and skill-level advancement.
SenseWise: Sensory profile selections, sensory box activity choices, and usage patterns over time.
We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13 without the consent described below. Student accounts are created and managed by a verified therapist or school official, not by the child.
- How We Use Information
Student data is used solely to:
Provide the core function of the Service (tracking progress, curating activities)
Generate reports for the therapist, parent/guardian, or school
Improve the Service's clinical usefulness (in aggregated, de-identified form only)
We do not use student data for advertising, marketing, or any commercial purpose unrelated to the Service. We do not sell student data, ever.
- Who Can Access Student Information
The assigned therapist/practitioner managing the student's account
The student's parent or legal guardian, upon request
School officials, if the account was created under a school's authorization
Occuthera staff, only as needed for technical support, under confidentiality obligations
We do not share student data with third-party advertisers or unrelated third parties.
- Parental Rights
As a parent or legal guardian, you have the right to:
Review the personal information we have collected from your child
Request deletion of your child's personal information
Refuse further collection or use of your child's information (which may limit or end use of the Service for that student)
Revoke consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@occuthera.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and verify your identity as the parent/guardian before making changes.
- Data Retention & Deletion
We retain student data only as long as needed to provide the Service or as required by the school/therapist relationship. Upon request, or when an account is no longer active, data is deleted within 30 days.
- Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect student information. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
- Third-Party Service Providers
Our Services are hosted by Emergent/Go Daddy.com. We only work with service providers who agree to protect data consistent with this policy and applicable law.
- Changes to This Policy
We will notify account holders of material changes to this policy and, where required, obtain renewed consent for any new collection or use of children's data.
